About Jully Woo
Jully began her career as a fashion designer after graduating from Central Saint Martins College in UK. To expand her lifelong passion of art, Jully is now transforming her decades of drawing and design experience into painting. Influenced by her Chinese roots, Jully’s art is infused with powerful lines and a unique combination of colours and strokes, expressed in her figure drawings, landscape, flowers and still life paintings.
My paintings are conversations between myself and the object, in the form of colours and space. From landscapes and still lives to portraits and figures, what capture me are the mesmerising colours from the lights and shadows that bring out nature’s beauty and atmosphere. I love the spontaneous movement of paintbrush which transmits my feelings from my brain to my heart through the canvas to the viewers.
